South East State of Somalia is an emerging regional administration encompassing the regions of Lower Shabelle, Middle Juba, and Jamame District. The state stretches from fertile inland agricultural lands to the Indian Ocean coast.
Home to approximately 2.5 million people, the state is rich in cultural heritage, agricultural potential and coastal resources. Communities include farmers, fishermen, pastoralists and a growing urban population.
Through inclusive governance and partnership with traditional leaders, youth, women and the diaspora, the administration is building strong institutions for the future.
